HubSpot is constantly rolling out new product updates and betas that can help credit unions work smarter and more efficiently.

Caroline Prettyman, Senior Manager of HubSpot Strategy at WebStrategies, shares her expertise on how these updates can help credit unions leverage HubSpot even more across their organizations.

Let’s dive in!

1. Set Marketing Contacts in Deal-Based Workflows

Previously, setting marketing contacts within deal-based workflows required a workaround—you had to set a delay, transfer the contact to another workflow, and then update the status. Now, HubSpot has simplified the process!
With this update, you can:

  • Set marketing contact status directly within deal-based workflows.
  • Easily associate a contact with a deal.
  • Trigger communications based on deal pipeline activity.
This is especially useful for credit unions using deal pipelines for loans, allowing seamless communication with members about loan applications.

2. Anniversary-Based Workflows (Beta)

For credit unions managing membership renewals, loan anniversaries, or important dates, this beta feature is a game-changer. Previously, setting up anniversary-based workflows required multiple workarounds, but now it’s built into HubSpot.

Here’s how it works:

  • Any date property (e.g., expiration date) can be used as a trigger.
  • You can set relative anniversary dates (e.g., 30 days before a renewal date).
  • Once activated, the workflow automates timely member outreach.

This feature helps ensure members receive timely reminders and follow-ups, improving engagement and retention.

3. AI-Powered Email Translations (Beta)

Credit unions often serve diverse communities, and language barriers can be a challenge. With AI-powered email translations, you can now create multilingual emails effortlessly.

Steps to use this feature:

  • Opt into the beta under the Product Updates section.
  • Open an existing email and select Generate Translated Version.
  • Choose the target language (e.g., Spanish), and HubSpot will instantly translate the content.

This feature makes it easier for credit unions to communicate with members in their preferred language—without the hassle of manual translations.

4. Breeze AI in Workflows (Beta)

AI-powered automation is taking HubSpot workflows to the next level! The Breeze AI feature helps credit unions create workflows faster and more efficiently.

Here’s what it does:

  • When setting up a contact-based workflow, select Ask AI to do anything.
  • Describe what you need (e.g., “Send a follow-up email if a loan application is incomplete”).
  • Breeze AI will draft the workflow steps for you.

This reduces the time spent on building complex workflows while ensuring consistency and accuracy.

5. Breeze AI Summarizing Records (Beta)

Ever wished for a quick summary of all interactions with a member? Now, you can get AI-powered record summaries with just one click.

  • Open a contact record.
  • Click Summarize to generate an AI-powered summary of all activities related to that member.
  • Get a clear overview without sifting through individual notes and emails.

This is a huge time-saver for credit unions managing large member databases, making it easier to stay informed on key interactions.

Conclusion

These five updates make HubSpot even more powerful for credit unions, improving automation, efficiency, and member engagement. If you’re using HubSpot at your credit union, be sure to explore these features and opt into the betas where applicable!

Stay tuned for more updates as HubSpot continues to roll out new features.
